Wireless network not validating
I CANNOT believe that people who are getting something free, are complaining that they can't get some kind of upgraded phone and that they "deserve" one.
And just because they are getting something FREE, they should get what they want. I am SO grateful that I actually have this service.
A friend has had nothing but trouble with the free phone & they have blown her off....phone that works now! You just have to give AW a call and request an upgrade. If they refuse, your other option is to activate service with another Lifeline provider. a GSM or locked phone), or that NO Hydro Reach phones can be activated on AW at all? I got it and have had more issues with it than the cheapy cheap small reg phone they sent me in the beginning. Assurance Wireless phones are crap and I don'tcare if people say we complain about the phones.
Don't know if she would want a smartphone, so a list of any that are acceptable will be appreciated! They'll provide you with a new phone, and port your number over for you. I have the ZTE Quest because I wanted an upgrade and AW said this was the best. Anyways, AW clearly states that they Hydro Reach is compatible. Just because we get this service for free doesn't mean we deserve crap! Actually, I like the one I have, but dropped it too many times! That certainly sounds extremely frustrating to say the least!
I've dropped it several times, so I'm wanting to get another similar phone. Personally, I would call them in advance prior to purchasing a phone on my own to verify that it will work, and definitely try to get a transcript of that conversation. Oh yeah, one more thing, the obvious lesson learned. Well, about that Virgin Mobile-packaged Kyocera Hydro Reach I bought off e Bay, it will not work on AW's network. You can't buy it new anywhere except some folks peddling it on e Bay, and that is too "new". Oh, and to top off what a complete screw-up AW is, the sweet New Delhian suspended my service, as if I had lost my phone. I clearly explained that my phone (an older VM Samsung pay Lo) and service were fine, but the battery was no longer holding a lasting charge, hence the need for another phone.
This statement is in the AW FAQs:"The ZTE Quest is the recommended compatible Android smartphone that can be used on Assurance Wireless at this time. The friendly yet difficult to comprehend rep promised to send me a phone, a smart phone, to arrive within 7-10 days. Fortunately, I was able to restore it online.ughhhh!!!
I did, however get some food stamps and I "qualified" for a phone from Assurance Wireless.
I am a senior citizen and have a lot of health issues and no one is going to hire me.
Yes, the phone I have SUCKS, but it is a phone and it works.
The program was originally intended to be a LIFELINE. It doesn't mean that you should get some kind of fancy phone, it means you have a phone.
Regarding the Unimax phone; I'm sorry, but I don't really understand what you're asking. It even screws up the "Launcher" screen (Home screen) when leaving saying the camera/text/etc area to go to the home screen it says there is a problem with the launcher. With my old pay Lo, I was on a 500 minute, unlimited text plan.
Are you asking whether is a good price for the phone? Hello, I've been with Assurance Wireless for about 2 months now. That is what these free plastic useless cheap phones are. And not a person in their right mind wanted to buy them. I am now on a 350 minute, unlimited text, and 500 MB data plan.
